A Day on the Beach is about pride in being Australian—enjoying sport, summer, the beach and being active. But most importantly, A Day on the Beach is about the community.

The event has grown in popularity over the more than a decade it has been running and typically attracts between 8,000 and 12,000 people to the action-packed day.

The day involves sports clubs and other not-for-profit community organisations setting up their activities, stalls or services on Kingston Beach, giving kids and parents the opportunity to try new sports and activities that they may not have tried before.

As well as being a fantastic day out, ‘A Day on the Beach’ is an opportunity to promote community participation, and encourage people to get involved in local sports clubs and community organisations.
